In order to maintain Helping for Christ Victory Center in Haiti, we need your help. Please consider making a one-time or monthly donation to help cover the necessary expenses for the 60 children living at the Center.

Food; monthly: $2,500

Internet communication; monthly: $110

Cell phone communication for key leadership; monthly: $150

Staff salary; monthly: $75

Uniforms for each school year; annually: $1,100

Books and supplies for each school year; annually: $1,500

New toilets as we only have one (and 2 outhouses) currently; one-time fee: $1,500

This is Pastor Dicksent, Pastor at Victory Center. He’s saying “THANK YOU” to Solutions from Science, one of Heart of God Haiti’s very generous supporters, for providing a solar generator to the Helping for Christ Victory Center. This generator has allowed the Center to meet its own needs, specifically power and clean water, and to remain independent while meeting the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of the children living at the Center.

Did You Know?

More than 10% of Haitian children die before age five.
Only 53% of Haitians can read and write.
The life expectancy for Haiti is low: 50 years for men and 53 years for women.
Eighty percent of Haitians live under the poverty line and 54% live in abject poverty. The average per capita income in Haiti is $480 a year, compared to $33,550 in the United States.
Families who live in the country spend almost 60% of their income on food. The poorest groups spend more than 70%.
Before the 2010 earthquake, the U.S. Labor Department estimates that between 5,000 and 10,000 Haitian children were homeless. Many resort to begging or prostitution to survive. Other children are trafficked to foreign countries.
Anemia affects 59% of Haitian children between the ages of six months and five years.
Only about 10% of all Haitian children enrolled in elementary school go on to a high school.
