“Chay pa janm lou pou mèt li.”
Translation: “The load is never too heavy for its master.”
Many Christians walk around in more trouble than we need to. Despite the fact that God tells us through Paul’s life that, “My grace is sufficient for you, (2 Corinthians 12:9)” most of us still carry too much baggage in our life. Whether it’s temptations that are hitting so strong or just the guilt and shame of our past, most of us won’t give it up.
What I love about this proverb is that it doesn’t say the load is never too heavy for the one carrying it. It says it isn’t to heavy for it’s master. The reality is that if you are a born-again believer in Christ, that load that you are struggling to carry is no longer yours to handle. That is Jesus’ load, and He is it’s master. This is why He tells us,
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)
