“Bèf san ke, Bondye pouse mouch pou li.”
Translation: “God shoos away the flies for the cow with no tail.”
In Haiti, the country always so rumored to be “dark” and “evil” due to voodou and spiritism, there are many generations of true respect for God, contrary to what you may have been told. This proverb shows that here, both believers and non-believers can see that there is a God who loves His creation, and will take care of those who cannot take care of themselves. Whatever your needs are today, look to the King of Heaven and expect that He will take better care of you than you can of yourself.
