“Chen achte tafya, chat bwe tafya, chen sou.”
Translation: “Dog buys rum, cat drinks rum, dog gets drunk”
This proverb is a cute reminder that when you see someone doing something that you know has potential to go badly, you should count the costs of getting involved. Not only are you opening yourself up to face the consequences, but the consequences you face could be much worse than the one who instigated the thing to start with.
